Between April 1997 and May 2004, volunteers documented more than  4,000 dead or injured   migrating birds. Most of the injured were only temporarily stunned, and were released   in a city park, well away from buildings. NYCAS has reached out to building managers   at some locations, who have responded by taking steps to help.

Project Safe Flight needs volunteers to patrol streets of New York City in the early morning during spring and fall migration. Can you get up a couple of hours early just one day a week to help? An experienced volunteer will train you in everthing you need to know to help rescue injured birds. Call the NYCAS office at 212-691-7483 or Nicole Decretaz.
