Join us in celebrating the life of César Castillo (1980-2023), a beloved naturalist and teacher, in the second annual César Castillo Memorial Queens County Birdathon.

In partnership with the Queens County Bird Club and Queens College, NYC Audubon will host three bird outings on April 27, 2024 to explore some of César’s favorite bird patches. This event is a fundraiser for NYC Audubon, where César served as a Board Director from 2018 to 2023. Funds will go towards efforts he cared deeply about: programming in his home county of Queens, with a focus on connecting underserved communities to nature.

A Tribute to César

DONATE IN MEMORY OF CÉSAR

You can donate a fixed amount when you register for the April 27 Birdathon. You can also make a pledge per species sighted and donate after the event: we will publish a cumulative list of species seen during the Birdathon walks here; donations will remain open after the event and you can make your gift then.

Can’t attend the April 27 Birdathon? You can still make a gift in honor of César.
